IntroductionThese taste great with some cinnamon apple sauce on top! These taste great with some cinnamon apple sauce on top!
1 cup water
1 cup whole wheat pastry flour
1 egg, beaten
1 TB vanilla
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
These cook up quite a bit firmer than traditional pancakes. Because there is no milk, they will taste a bit "empty" - so adjust vanilla, cinnamon, salt, and sugar to your liking.
In a 2 cup measuring cup, beat egg. Add vanilla. Add water to just below 1 cup (or up to 1 cup for a bit thinner.)
Cook on skillet sprayed with non-stick spray.
Serve with pure maple syrup, berries, bananas, apple sauce... you choose!
Serving Size: makes 4-4 inch pancakes
