HypatiaX's Mulligan Stew

Ingredients

    *Lamb, Ground, 16 oz (remove)
    Water, tap, 8 cup (8 fl oz) (remove)
    Onions, raw, 1 cup, chopped (remove)
    *Potato, raw, 2 cup diced (remove)
    Celery, raw, 1 cup, diced (remove)
    Carrots, raw, 1 cup, chopped (remove)
    *Beef Broth - Swanson, 15 oz (remove)
    Salt, 1 tsp (remove)
    Pepper, black, 1 tsp (remove)
    Paprika, 1 tsp (remove)
    *garlic, raw, .5 oz (remove)
    Rosemary, 1 tbsp (remove)
    Thyme, ground, 1 tsp (remove)
    2 Bay Leaves
    Half a cup red wine

Tips

It can be thickened with flour to make a gravy before adding the vegetables. If you do this, you will need to check on the pot more frequently. Also: do NOT eat the bay leaves.


Directions

Brown lamb first. Add the chopped vegetables, then the water. Bring to a hard boil. Reduce heat to low, add spices, then wine, then beef broth. Stir them in. Cook on low for about two and a half hours to allow flavors to blend. Stir occasionally to keep from sticking.
