Introduction

There are so many recipes out there for molton chocolate cakes but this was my grandmother's recipe and my favorite version. It is gooey and delicious. Serve it warm with a scoop of whipped topping or vanilla ice cream. Make sure to take a bit of the chocolate sauce from the bottom of the pan and drizzle it over the top! Ingredients

    1 cup flour
    3/4 cup white sugar
    1 teaspoon baking powder
    3 tablespoons cocoa powder
    1/2 cup crushed pecans
    2 tablespoons melted butter
    1/2 cup lowfat milk
    1 cup brown sugar
    4 tablespoons cocoa powder
    1 3/4 cup boiling water

Tips

When this comes out the top will be cakey and there will be a layer of chocolate sauce goodness bubbling in the bottom. Let cool for about 15 minutes and serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream (not included in nutrition).


Directions

In a deep 10 inch pie dish or 9 inch square pan, mix together the flour, white sugar, baking powder, 3 tablespoons cocoa powder and the nuts until all are well-incorporated. Add the melted butter and milk and stir until mixed. In a separate bowl mix the brown sugar and 4 tablespoons cocoa powder. Sprinkle evenly over the top of the wet ingredients. Pour the boiling water over the top - DO NOT MIX. Bake in 350 degree oven for 45 minutes.
