Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    1/2 cup quick cook oatmeal
    1 tsp raw sugar
    1/2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa
1/2 tsp cinnamon (or to taste)
    dash of salt
    1 cup boiling water
    1/2 a banana

Tips

Swap the banana for sliced strawberries or blueberries or raspberries or any of your favourite fruit!
I find a little sugar and salt helps the oatmeal taste its best. The fruit does help sweeten things, however, so you could leave it out altogether, or add a sugar substitute.
Mix up portions of the oatmeal ahead of time to save time on a busy morning - then all you have to do is add the boiling water and slice in the fruit!

Directions

Mix the oatmeal, sugar (or sweetener), cocoa, cinnamon, and just a dash of salt in a bowl.
Add half a cup of boiling water and stir. Let the oatmeal soak up the water...add more water until its the consistency you like your oatmeal.
Cut up the banana into slices and stir into the oatmeal.
Enjoy!
