Introduction

Nice warm soup for winter. I used a soup bone that had about a pound of meat on it that I shredded after it cooked in about 5 qt of water. 454 gm of split peas is a 1 pound bag. Ingredients

    5 qt water
    soup bone with about 1 lb of meat on it
    1 cup dehydrated carrots
    1 cup dehydrated corn
    16 ounces dry split peas
    4 ounces green chilis
    2 cups tomato sauce (homemade w/ no salt)
    dash of liquid smoke
    2 Tbl aminos

Directions

I put the soup bone in the water in the a.m. and let it cook in the crockpot all day. An hour or so before dinner, I put the rest of the ingredients in and adjusted seasoning with garlic mesquite and such.

Serving Size: about 2 cups
