Wild Rice & Vegetables

Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    Wild Rice, 1 cup
    Beef or chicken stock, 3 cups
    Butter, salted, 2 tbsp
    Celery, raw, 0.5 cup, diced
    Carrots, raw, 0.5 cup, chopped
    Onions, raw, 0.5 cup, chopped
    Sage, ground, 1 tbsp

Tips

You can also add in apples or dried cranberries cherries for more complex flavors.


Directions

Bring broth and wild rice to a boil. Continue to boil covered for 30 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand covered for an additional 30 min. Drain any remaining broth. Meanwhile, saute chopped vegetables in butter and ground sage until soft, approximately 5-7 minutes.

Serving Size: Makes approximately six 1 cup servings.
