Kelly's Taco Dip with NO VEGGIES!

Submitted by: STPHNE

Introduction

My friend Kelly makes this every time she has people over to watch football. It's a family tradition for her and everyone LOVES it. I like that this recipe doesn't have beans or any veggies. It's just meat and cheese. Yummy! My friend Kelly makes this every time she has people over to watch football. It's a family tradition for her and everyone LOVES it. Ingredients

1 lb Ground Beef 93% Lean
6 tsp Old El Paso Taco Seasoning
12 oz Cream Cheese, Philadelphia 1/3 Less Fat
    12 oz Cheddar Cheese
3/4 cup Sour Cream, reduced fat
(Optional) Tortilla Chips (not included in calorie count)

Tips

Do not use reduced fat or 2% cheese. The cheese doesn't melt well and gets hard.

Directions

Cook the ground beef on the stove until brown and crumbly. Drain and return the pan to the stove, adding the taco mix. Add water only if necessary. The meat mixture needs to be a little dry.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

On a disposable aluminum cookie sheet, spread the cream cheese, then sour cream, then taco meat mixture, then cover with cheese.

Cook about 15-20 minutes or until cheese starts bubbling.

Serve immediately with tortilla chips.

Serving Size: Makes a large cookie sheet. It could be more servings, but I'm basing 8 servings on actual parties.

Number of Servings: 8
