In a large mixing bowl, beat the cake mix, oranges, egg whites and applesauce on low speed for 2 minutes. Pour into a 13-in x 9 in baking dish coated with nonstick cooking spray. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack. In a bowl, combine the pineapple and pudding mix. Fold in whipped topping just until blended. Spread over cake. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving. Makes 15 servings.
SOOOO GOOD! I used sugar free fat free pudding mix and lite cool whip, as well as reduced sugar yellow cake mix. When I started to put the topping on the cake it seemed like there would be too much...but after tasting the cake with the topping on it, I dumped it all on! fluffy & DELICIOUS!!
I made this at home then at work, it rrrrrrealy good. I think I might try usin half of the cool whip next, I found I had more topping than cake (still taste great). I might try making the topping with the oranges instead of the pineapple next time.
I made this cake many times but used a French Vanilla cake mix for the cake portion.. I have had many friends and family try it and all liekd it, even a 5 and 3 year old devoured it in no time.. It's good and decident..
Oh, this cake absolutely deserves 5 stars! It's easy to make and taste wonderful. I made it for Easter to bring to my sisters. We all loved it. I made it again this morning and brought it to work. I've printed the recipe several times for my co-workers. I will make this over, and over!
Loved it! I added a little orange zest to the cake mix just to add a little more flavor. I am making another one for a work potluck. I bet they won't even know it's low in calories! Totally easy to make and tastes Yummy!
Ok so I didn't make this cake. My best friend TXMOMMY38 made it while we were over for dinner Friday. She sent me the recipe cause I fell in love with it! All I can say is .. Y U M M Y ! ! ! !
