Low Carb Spaghetti Sauce

Introduction

A really good low carb spaghetti sauce. A really good low carb spaghetti sauce.
Number of Servings: 9

Ingredients

    2 Summer squash
    2 zucchini
    1 medium onion
    4 small cans organic tomatoe sauce (3.5 cups total)
    1 large can petite diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
    1.75 lbs. ground beef
    2 tsp Italian Seasoning
    1 tsp salt
    1 tsp garlic powder
    1 Tbsp Macadamia Nut Oil

Tips

Serve over spaghetti squash or shiritaki noodles to complete the low carb dish. =)


Directions

1. Brown meat, drain and set aside.
2. Dice squash, zucchini, and onion.
3. Saute onion in macadamia nut oil until soft.
4. Add squash and zucchini.
5. Add tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, and Italian seasoning.
6. Add meat to vegetables.
7. Simmer 15 minutes (or as long as you want to allow flavors to meld; longer is better).

Serving Size: 1 cup of sauce +/-
