Apple Walnut Oatmeal

Introduction

This is a heart-healthy, energy packed "breakfast-in-a-bowl" that tastes especially warm and cozy. This is a heart-healthy, energy packed "breakfast-in-a-bowl" that tastes especially warm and cozy.
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    2 cups Quaker rolled oats
    2 medium apples (peeled, cored, diced or chopped)
    Butter flavored cooking spray
    cinnamon (or apple pie seasoning)
    splenda
    butter spray



Directions

Prepare oatmeal as directed.


While it is cooking, chop up the apples and sautee them in cooking spray and spices until tender. Add walnuts. Sweeten to taste by stirring in 3-6 packets of splenda.

Serve oatmeal with spray butter on top and 1/4 of the apple walnut mixture.

Makes 4 servings, about a cup each.
