4 lb pork shoulder roast, cut into 1/2" chunks
1 cup soy sauce
1 1/2 cups water
1/2 cup rice wine
1/2 cup fried red onion
3 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. MSG
2 star anise seeds
12 hard boiled eggs, shells removed
Can also be done over the stove. Bring to boil, reduce heat to low and simmer for 4 hours. Add eggs and simmer on low for additional hour.
Serve over rice.
Serving Size: makes 12 servings (1 cup meat mixture & 1 egg)
