My Trader Joe's Southwest Turkey Salad

My Trader Joe's Southwest Turkey Salad

Introduction

Nice, flavorful and fairly quick. Recipe is for one but easy to make for two as well.

Ingredients

    Trader Joe's Fire Roasted Bell Peppers & Onion - 1 cup
    Trader Joe's Turkey Burger - 1/2 a patty
    Olive Oil Cooking Spray
    Shredded Romaine Lettuce - 1 cup (I get this from Trader Joe's too)
    Trader Joe's Light Shredded 3 Cheese Blend - 0.25 cup
    Trader Joe's Avocado's Number Gaucamole - 1 tbsp
    Trader Joe's Fire Roasted Tomato Salsa - 3 tbsp

Tips

I will often sprinkle the Turkey burger with either Trader Joe's South African Smoke or Penzeys Spices Arizona Dreaming during the cooking process.

Also when I an really hungry and the heavy protein will not hurt my numbers I will use the whole burger Rather then half.

I have also been know to serve this over rice and do a salad or some other veggies on the side.


Directions

Spray pan with Olive Oil and saute the Peppers and Onions for a couple of minutes to heat them up (you can heat in the microwave but I like useing the pan)

Push the Pepper and Onions to the side of the pan and then put the frozen Turkey Burger in the pan (season as you wish). Cook for about 6 to 8 minutes per side.

While cooking place the lettuce onto a plate and sprinkle 2 tbsp of the salsa over the lettuce.

Once Turkey Burger is done cut it in half and put the other half away for another day (or share with someone else). Cut the remaining half into strips.

Place the Peppers and Onions over the Lettuce and then put the Turkey Burger strips on top.

Sprinkle the Shredded Cheese on top then add the Guacamole and the last tablespoon of Salsa.
