Ham and Pickle Stuffed Buns

Submitted by: KCHRISTY6

Introduction

Hollowed out kaiser rolls filled with cream cheese, diced ham, and pickles. Best when heated and served warm - the outside gets nice and crunchy and the inside is warm and cheesy! (NOTE: Since this has pickles and ham steak, if you're watching sodium this probably is not the dish for you). Hollowed out kaiser rolls filled with cream cheese, diced ham, and pickles. Ingredients

    2 Kaiser/Bolillo/Hard Rolls
4 oz Fat Free Cream Cheese
1 slice Reduced Fat Swiss Cheese
    1 tsp Mrs Dash Original
9 Milwaukee Midget Dill Pickles, diced
1 TBSP Fat Free Sour Cream
    5 oz Ham Steak, diced

Directions

Preheat oven to 350d
Cut the tops off of the Kaiser rolls (saving the tops) and hollow out the inside of each roll - to make a "bowl."
Mix Cream cheese, sour cream, diced ham, diced pickles, and Mrs Dash seasoning in a bowl.
Evenly distribute ham mixture between the 2 sandwiches.
Cut the slice of swiss cheese in half and press one half onto the top of the ham mixture in each sandwich.
Replace bread tops on the sandwiches.
Wrap each sandwich tightly in aluminum foil and bake for about 25 minutes.

Serving Size: Makes 2 sandwiches
