40-Clove Chicken

Introduction

Slow Cooker 6hr. garlic chicken Slow Cooker 6hr. garlic chicken
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    6-4oz Chicken Breast
    Salt & Pepper
    2 tbsp Olive Oil
    1/4c Dry White Wine
    1/8c Dry Vermouth
    2tbsp dried parsley
    2tbsp dried basil
    1tsp dried oregano
    pinch of red pepper flakes
    40 cloves garlic
    4 ribs celery, sliced
    1 Lemon Juice & peel
    Fresh Herbs Optional...

Directions

Get you slow cooker out...Sprinkle chicken with salt & pepper. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken: cook 10 minutes or until browned o all sides. Remove set aside.

Cook brown rice according to package...

Combine wine, vermouth, parsley, basil, oregano and red pepper flakes in a bowl. Add garlic & celery coat well (TIP: have a wet cloth next to you so that you can wipe your hands while peeling garlic). Transfer garlic & celery to slow cooker with slotted spoon. Add chicken on top of garlic & celery in the slow cooker. Sprinkle with lemon juice & grated peel: add reamining herb mixture. Cover & cook on LOW 6 hours or until chicken is no longer pink in center. makes 6-servings
