1 pkg. Jimmy Dean "hot" Sausage 5 medium potatoes 1-2 bunches of Kale (washed well) Chicken bullion, stock or broth to taste 1-2 T. minced Garlic 2 cups 1/2 and 1/2 3-4 cups of water if bullion is used Dried red pepper flakes
Start cooking sausage. While sausage is cooking, cut halved potatoes into 1/8 inch slices. Thicker slices take longer to cook, so keep this in mind if you are limited on time. Drain sausage. Return sausage to large pot and add garlic and red pepper flakes (to taste). Add bullion and water (or the chicken stock/broth). Cover and cook until potatoes are almost done. While potatoes are cooking, remove stem from kale and slice kale into bite-sized pieces. When potatoes are close to being done, add kale. Cover and continue cooking until kale is tender and potatoes are done. Last, add the half and half.
May need to add salt, pepper and parmesean cheese...to taste.
Makes enough to feed a family of 5, with some left over for lunch the next day.
