Grandma’s Quick Turkey Chop Suey

Ingredients

    1 pound ground turkey
    1 can (16 oz) bean sprouts
    1 cup celery, chopped
    ½ cup onion, chopped
    1 can (8 oz) water chestnuts
    ¼ tsp ginger
    1 can (10/5 oz) condensed beef or chicken broth
    2 tbsp soy sauce
    2 tbsp cornstarch (or ¼ cup flour)
    3 cups cooked rice

Tips


Directions

1) In skillet, brown turkey. Drain fat.
2) Prepare rice as directed on package.
2) Add bean sprouts, celery, onion, water chestnuts, ginger and all but ¼ cup broth. Bring to a boil over med-high heat. Reduce heat. Cover and simmer 20 minutes.
3) Combine the ¼ broth with soy sauce and corn starch. Add to the meat and veggie mixture. Stir until thickened and bubbly.

Serve over rice.
