Hearty Lasagna

Hearty Lasagna

Ingredients

    1 15 oz container of low-fat ricotta
    3 oz of italian sausage
    1/3 cup of milk
    2 garlic cloves
    1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
    1/8 tsp salt
    2 1/4 pasta sauce
    8 no-boil lasagna noodles
    1/4 cup grated parmesan

Directions

Preheat the oven to 425. Mix ricotta, basil, sausage, milk, garlic, pepper flakes, and salt.

Spread 1/2 cup of the tomato sauce on the bottom of an 8" x 8" baking dish. Lay 2 noodles over the sauce; cover with 1/4 of the ricotta mixture and another 1/2 cup of the tomato sauce. Repeat with noodles, cheese, and sauce twice more. Top last layer with pasta, the remaining cheese, sauce, and parmesan.

Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 15 minutes, until the top is golden.

Serving Size: makes 4 plates
