Ingredients

2-1/2 tbsp bulgur wheat
2-1/2 tbsp brown rice
2 tbsp barley
2 tbsp quinoa
1/4 cup rolled oats
1 cup apples, diced
1-1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
3 cups water
1 tbsp vanilla extract
Directions
Combine ingredients in the slow cooker.
Mix well.
Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
Stir before serving.
Add more water if needed.

sounds interesting,i have sat here looking at the recipe and (maybe cause it is midnite) i can't come up with another grain,cous cous?you are all right it is 5 grains.....so who takes care of the mistake to correct it??????????i have seen other mistakes,but just let it ride,but like i say who????? - 3/11/08

I'm giving it a 3 star because even though it is quite bland, it is so darn healthy. I think the recipe is a nice clean palette to dress up with our individual tastes. Next time I am going to try adding some coconut and also use almond milk instead of water. Maybe add a little dried fruit, too. - 10/24/12

I used my coffe grinder for the heavier grains so it wasn't as chunky(young children and textures) I do like it but find it a little bland. I love the idea of it and wondered about adding flax,cream of wheat, and cornmeal to give it more body or something...who says it can't be an 8 grain? - 3/14/08
