Clagget's famous cookies

Submitted by: LEIGHWOMAN
Clagget's famous cookies

Introduction

These are not healthy at all, but they are so worth every darn calorie. My mom's friend made up this recipe and I ate them all the time growing up. So excited to be the mom on the block with the best chocolate chip cookies in the world! If you love cookie dough, you'll LOVE these cookies! Part of the benefit of these is that they are still doughy in the middle. These are not healthy at all, but they are so worth every darn calorie. Number of Servings: 36

Ingredients

1 stick of margarine (I used Land-o-Lakes light butter)
13 1/3 tbsp butter flavored crisco shortening
    1 c sugar
    1 c brown sugar
    1 tsp vanilla
    1 tsp salt
    1 tsp baking soda
    1 bag chocolate chips
    3 1/2 c flour
    2 eggs

Tips

I halved the recipe (hence some weird measurements), and you should get about 36 cookies out of it that way if you don't eat any of the dough. But let's be realistic. You're lucky to get 24.

Store in the fridge.

Directions

Mix everything together.

Make big cookie balls (golf ball size) and put on a cookie sheet sprayed with cooking spray.

Bake at 375 until lightly golden.

Cool on a paper towel or flat surface - NOT on a wire rack (they will fall through!)

Eat LOTS of cookie dough while you're making them or they don't turn out! (The original author of the recipe really did put this in there...and it's true!)

Serving Size: Makes 36 cookies
