Ingredients

    2 T -coconut oil
    1 c -steel cut oats
    1/4c -sunflower seeds
    1 T -flax seed
    1/2c -pecans, chopped
    1/2c -almond slivers, crushed
    1 T -cinnamon
    1 -apple, peeled, cored & chopped

Tips

wheat germ can be added for to increase protein content. wheat germ does contain gluten, rendering this recipe NOT gluten-free


Directions

combine all dry ingredients in a bowl. prep apple and soak in absorbic acid solution to prevent browning. add apple to dry ingredients. heat coconut oil and honey, till liquid [bout 30 sec]. add oil/honey mix to dry mix, toss to coat. dehydrate for 12ish hours.

Serving Size: 1/4 cup, 10 servings
