Beans, dry pinto, 2 cup
Ground beef, lean, 16 oz
Tomato Sauce, 1 cup
Onions, raw, 1 medium (2-1/2" dia)
Sweet peppers (bell), 1 cup, chopped
Chili powder, 1 tbsp
*Cumin powder, 1 tbsp
Salt, 1 tsp
Pepper, black, 1 tsp
Tips
You can use the same recipe using canned pinto or red kidney beans. Adjust the cooking time as the canned beans are already cooked. Simmer about 1 hour. Pre-cook all ingredients to add to the beans.

Directions
Rinse beans and cook in pot of water until tender, at least 3 hours. Then, brown ground beef, drain and add with the rest of the ingredients - season to taste. Measurements are baseline, adjust to your taste...
