Introductionlow calorie for a 1 cup serving low calorie for a 1 cup serving
asparagus 4 cups
ham cubed 5 cups precooked
10 cups dry whole wheat penne pasta (cook this)
4 cups chicken broth
2 cans evaporated milk(if desired you can use low fat
2 cups green onion
3 tbsp. margarine
1 cup flour
lemon juice 3 tbsp
thyme 3 tbsp
1tbsp black pepper
3 tbsp parsley
2 cups parmesan cheese
be sure that you're aware that this will make lots of servings if you use more low calorie and lowfat items it will be even less calories.
large deep pan for sauce, fry onions in butter add chicken broth, milk and seasonings until warmed add lemon juice, mix 1 cup flour with 1 cup water slowly add flour mixture to hot liquid and stir til well blended
get two 13x 9 inch lasagne pans add 5 cups pasta to each, add liquid mixture and asparagus to both evenly
add ham and stir mixture. add 1 cup parmesan cheese to each and stir.
cover pans and place in oven for 30 minutes at 350 degress. uncover and cook for another 10 minutes.
makes 24 1 cup servings. you can freeze servings and cook as needed or for a get together with lots of people
