Ingredients

    applesauce, flour, br. sugar, shortening, egg, salt, cinnamon, cloves,baking soda, raisins, dates, vanilla

Tips

I use the narrow end of a wooden skewre to test the cake.


Directions

Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour a 9" tube pan.
Sift flour before measuring. Sprinkle some flour on the raisins and dates. Cream shortening and sugar. Add egg. Add vnilla. stit in flour. Add fruit. Add Applesauce.
Put in pan
Bake for 40 min or until wooden skewer comes out clean.
