Lazy Day Stew

Introduction

This is just a simple "stew" that I make in my crockpot. You can pretty much play around with it as much as you want. The original recipe calls for 2 lbs rather than 2 1/4, but I had a little extra stew meat, so I threw it in with mine. If you use 2 lbs instead, that would decrease the total calorie count by 220 and fat by 13g total. This is just a simple "stew" that I make in my crockpot. Ingredients

    2.25 lbs Stew Meat (Beef)
    2 Cups Baby Carrots
    1 Medium Onion, chopped
    1 Cup Celery, chopped
    1 t salt
    1/2 t pepper
    1/2 (15oz) Can Tomato Sauce
    1 Cup Water
    1 T Brown Sugar

Tips

If you are worried about sodium, you can decrease it to 1/2 t of salt or cut it out altogether.


Directions

Combine all of the ingredients in a crock pot and turn on high for 4 hours or low for 8 hours.
