Chili Dog Casserole

Ingredients

    1 (14 oz.) pkg. corn or tortilla chips, crushed
    1.5 (16 oz) pkg. hot dogs, sliced into 1 in. pieces (Hebrew National)
    2.5 c. shredded sharp cheddar cheese, divided
    1 (15 oz) can chili beans, undrained
    1 (15 oz) can chili (w/ or w/o beans)
    1 (15 oz) can diced tomatoes
    1 (10 oz) enchilada sauce
    1 onion chopped
    1 pepper chopped
    1 (1.25 oz) pkg. taco seasoning mix
    1 c. sour cream (optional)

Directions

Spray 9 X 13 in. baking dish or pan w/ spray. Sprinkle 2/3 of crushed chips in baking dish. Top woth hot dogs and sprinkle w/ 1 cup cheese. In a large borl, combine chilil beans, chili, tomatoes, sauce, onion, pepper, and taco seasoning mix. Stir to mix completely. Pour mixture into casserole and top w/ remaining 1.5 cups cheese and crushed chips.

Bake at 350 F for 45 to 50 minutes or until casserole is thoroughly heated.

Serve w/ a dallop of sour cream, if desired.

Yield: 6 to 8 servings
