Stovetop pasta casserole

Submitted by: J0ETTE

Introduction

Originially planned on putting this in the oven to bake like a lasagna casserole. Liked the outcome as it was on the stovetop. Originially planned on putting this in the oven to bake like a lasagna casserole. Liked the outcome as it was on the stovetop.
Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (or choice of meat)
1 box 13.25 oz whole wheat rotini (spiral pasta)
1 jar 24 oz pasta of choice
1 can 8 oz mushrooms, drained
1 12 oz bag broccoli slaw
    Water
    Spices of choice

Tips

Didn't measure water, ended up with to much.. Initially. This meal was cooked ahead and next day, the extra water had been absorbed to the consistency I was seeking.

Serve with cheese of choice.

Had planned on making it a casserole baked in oven, was happy with stovetop.

Will be playing with this recipe. :)

Directions

Brown ground beef and onion. Drain. Add mushrooms, pasta sauce, broccoli slaw, and about 3 cups water. Season to taste. Simmer until pasta is done. About 20 minutes.
