Introduction

Here's a great treat to have on hand for a healthy, quick breakfast. Make it in bulk, store in airtight containers for meals and snacks. Here's a great treat to have on hand for a healthy, quick breakfast. Make it in bulk, store in airtight containers for meals and snacks.
Number of Servings: 16

Ingredients

    1 C Applesauce, unsweetened
    1 C honey
    2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
    9 C quick oats
    (optional) 1/2 C slivered almonds (or other nuts)

Directions

Mix applesauce, honey, cinnamon. Warm in microwave for 30-60 seconds until runny consistency. Stir in oats. Will result in dry, crumbly mix (add nuts if desired). Bake at 350* for 30 minutes (stir halfway). Bake to desired consistency (dry and crumbly, crunchy if cooked longer)

Serving Size: Makes at least 16 .5 Cup servings
