Apple Stuffed Acorn Squash

Introduction

This takes a little while to cook, but it is a fantastic fall/winter dessert for those cold days! It was given to me by a farming friend along with some of her bumper crop of acorn squash, and has quickly become a favorite. This takes a little while to cook, but it is a fantastic fall/winter dessert for those cold days! It was given to me by a farming friend along with some of her bumper crop of acorn squash, and has quickly become a favorite.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    2 large acorn squash
    3 c peeled, cored apples, cut
    2 Tbsp honey
    1/4 tsp ground allspice
    1/2 c raisins

Directions

Cut squashes in half and remove seeds. Bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees F.

Mix remaining ingredients in medium bowl. Fill the hot squash with mixture and return to oven for another 30 minutes.
