Southwest Baked Tilapia

Introduction

Very spicy!! Very spicy!!
Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    4 tilapia fillets
    4 tablespoons non fat sour cream
    1 tablespoons chili powder
    1 teaspoons ground cumin
    1 tablespoons paprika
    1/2 teaspoon black pepper
    1/2 tablespoon ground coriander
    1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
    1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
    1/2teaspoon crushed red pepper
    1/2 tablespoon dried oregano
    1/2 tablespoon dried parsley

Directions

Mix all spices in a small container with a tight fitting lid.

Place tilapia on a foil lined cookie sheet.
Spread sour cream over the top of each fillet.

Lightly sprinkle seasoning mix over fish.

Bake at *375 20 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork.

Makes 4 servings.

Store the leftover spice mix in a cool dry place. It also works well on broiled chicken.

  • Very good - my daughter generally refuses to eat tilapia - saying "it taste like dirt". She ate the whole fillet and ask for more ....that says it all!! I willl make it again! - 9/28/09

  • I enjoyed it! I like that you can premix the seasoning and keep it stored in an airtight container to use later. Next time I might mix the seasoning with the sour cream so that there aren't pockets of seasoning that occur while baking. Fast and good meal. - 7/21/09
