Chicken Adobo

Introduction

My slow cooker version of a filipino favorite plus some veggies. My slow cooker version of a filipino favorite plus some veggies.
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1 Cup Soy Sauce
    3/4 Cup White Vinegar
    6 Chicken Thighs, skin on
    2 Carrots
    3 Yukon Gold Potato
    1 Onion
    3 Bay Leaves

Tips

1) To cut down on fat remove skin from chicken thighs before cooking
2) To cut down on sodium use low sodium soy sauce
3) Do not use apple cider vinegar as it is very pungent when cooking and may make some people feel ill
4) Add a tablespoon of peppercorns for extra flavour


Directions

Chop veggies and garlic and place with chicken in slow cooker. Pour soy sauce and vinegar over, add bay leaves and stir to coat ingredients. Cook for eight hours.

Serving Size: Makes 6 1 piece servings
