Ingredients

    1 Medium Sweet Yam
Canola Cooking Spray (any cooking spray will do)
    Salt to taste

Directions

Scrub the yam well, cut in half then cut into strips. Spray a cookie sheet with cooking spray, lay strips onto cookie sheet, spray yams with cooking spray and lightly salt. Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes or until tender, then broil for just a few minutes to add a crispness. Enjoy! Very simple, and very good!

  • Sprinkled oregano over these (both sides.. I flipped them half way through). Forgot to broil them so they weren't too crisp... but we still liked them! - 7/6/11

  • I slice them into rounds and call them "yam chips". Garlic and sea salt to flavor with olive oil. - 11/15/10

  • Very good, I added pumpkin pie spice as I like the blend of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and allspice. I still salted lightly also. - 10/24/10

  • Very good! I have also tried sprinkling cinnamon and sugar on it instead of salt and it's a great alternative to candied yams swimming in sugar and butter. - 1/13/10
