Hoisin Mustard Tofu

Introduction

Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    Tofu
    1 block firm tofu cut into cubes
    2 tsp soy sauce

    Sauce 1 tsp sesame oil
    1 red bell pepper diced finely
    1 small onion diced finely
    3 garlic cloves pressed or grated
    1 Tbs grated ginger
    1/4 tsp red pepper flakes to taste
    3 Tbs mirin or sherry wine
    2 Tbs hoisin sauce
    2 tsp prepared yellow mustard

Directions

Spray a skillet with non-stick spray and heat over medium heat

Add the tofu and cook for about 10 minutes flipping the pieces about 4 times

Half way through the cooking process drizzle the tofu with the soy sauce and toss to coat

Heat another skillet over medium heat

Add the sesame oil, red pepper, onion, garlic, chili flakes, and ginger

Cook for about 10 minutes until veggies are soft and browned

Add the mirin or sherry and let it cook out for about 3 minutes

then add the hoisin and mustard and cook for another minute

Add the tofu to the sauce and serve
