Coconut Almond Butter Cauliflower BitesSubmitted by: DEFIANTVEGAN
IntroductionI was planning on creating a recipe of a friend her on Sparks but didn't have certain ingredients so I just added somethings I had together and came up with this. I was planning on creating a recipe of a friend her on Sparks but didn't have certain ingredients so I just added somethings I had together and came up with this.
1 large head of Cauliflower
1 Cup of Raw Almond Butter
3 Tbs. of Liquid Amino Acids
1.2 Cup of Coconut Flakes
1 Cup of Distilled or Purified Water (about)
1/2 Cup of Bob's Red Mill Ground Organic Flax Seed Meal
I did not use paraflex on this recipe just use the mess sheets so bites dry evenly. I dehydrated on 105 degrees until I went to bed then I lowered it to the lowest number.
Bites came out semi crunchy and chewy if you want more of a bite then leave at 118 degrees or lower over night.
I probably would have added more coconut flakes but not so bad for a first try. I'm still planning on tweaking it.
Not sweet at all or tart right in the middle. If I had Cashew Butter or Sunflower Butter I would have used them instead but still love the recipe will have again.
Mix Nut Butter, Liquid Amino Acids, Flax Meal together adding water until you get a pancake batter consistency.
Place Cauliflower in a large bowl and pour nut butter mixture on top of Cauliflower bites and toss until every piece is covered.
Then sprinkle half of Coconut on Cauliflower and toss then add remainder of Coconut flakes and toss again until well distributed then place Cauliflower bites on to trays of dehydrate evenly and dehydrate over night until dry.
