Ingredients

6 cloves garlic
3 Tbsp olive oil
1 Tbsp smoked paprika [or regular if you don't have it]
1 tsp salt
3/4 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp cayenne
4 cups chickpeas, if using canned, drain and rinse to reduce sodium levels]
1 cup tahini
1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
bottled water, approximately 1 cup
Tips
Directions
Place the garlic, oil and spices into a strong food processor and and pulse until well mixed.
Add the chickpeas and tahini and grind until smooth.
Add lemon juice and puree until incorporated.
add water, a little at a time until a thick puree is made. Add more water for a lighter, thinner dip.
