Very Berry Freezer Smoothie

Introduction

I'm a busy person, and don't always have time to make smoothies when I want them. These are great, nutritious smoothies that I can make ahead of time and freeze for a quick, healthy snack later. I'm a busy person, and don't always have time to make smoothies when I want them. These are great, nutritious smoothies that I can make ahead of time and freeze for a quick, healthy snack later.
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1 large banana
    2 cups frozen mixed berries (I use Wyman's Tripple Berry Blend)
    1 cup strawberries
    1 cup baby spinach
    1/2 cup wheat germ
    1 1/2 cups Coconut Dream coconut drink (any type of non-dairy base works best)

Tips

I bring these to work for part of my breakfast or a mid-day snack. I've found that it works best to leave out on the counter for 30-45 minutes to defrost a bit. When I'm ready to eat, I just open and stir for the perfect smoothie texture.


Directions

Throw everything into blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Separate into 8oz mason jars to keep in freezer.

Serving Size: Makes 4 8oz smoothies
