Mom's Ground Beef Lunch

Introduction

Pasta, veggies, and lean ground beef Pasta, veggies, and lean ground beef
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1/2 pound lean ground beef, crumbled and fried
    1 can diced tomatoes
    1 can Mexican beans or kidney beans
    1 cup chopped cabbage
    1 cup uncooked elbow macaroni (or pasta of your choice)
    Add spices to your liking. Mine included
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    1 tsp. Morton's Lite Salt
    1 T. Hunt's ketchup
    Very light touch of Thyme, Rosemary, oregano, Ceyenne Pepper, dried celery leaves, Basil, Paprika
    2 Drops of Tobasco Sauce
    1 tsp. dried onions (can definitely use fresh onion instead)

Directions

Cook macaroni until it starts to get tender. While macaroni is cooking, fry lean ground beef and chopped cabbage together. You can add spices to the meat and cabbage as you are cooking it. When hamburger is nicely cooked, add the cooked macaroni, tomatoes, and beans. Turn to very low heat and simmer about 15-20 minutes to allow flavors to blend well.
