Ingredients

    1/4 cup Egg substitute
    1/4 cup milk
    1/2 tbsp cinnamon
    1/8 tsp nutmeg
    1/2 tbsp vanilla extract
    1 slice whole wheat bread
    1tsp smart balance buttery spread
    1/8 cup egg substitute

Tips

I do not eat syrup with my french toast because I add fruit to it instead, for a healthier choice, the recipe originally calls for syrup (1 tbsp) which of course is your choice to add, but it is not calculated in the nutrition.

Directions

Whisk first 5 ingredients together.
Dip bread in for about 10 sec on each side.
Spray skillet or griddle with nonstick cooking spray.
Cook bread on one side till done then flip till done.
Top with smart balance butter and your choice of fruit or syrup (not included in nutrition).
Add the 1/8 cup egg to what is already whisked up and scramble up to eat on the side, it adds to the protein intake of the dish and cuts down on being wasteful.
Enjoy!
