Cranberry Cream Scones

Introduction

Another tasty, decadent treat. Somewhat healthy though, using raw cream and white whole wheat flour. Note: you could easily use all cream, though if you're short a bit, you can add in half & half as I did. Another tasty, decadent treat. Somewhat healthy though, using raw cream and white whole wheat flour. Note: you could easily use all cream, though if you're short a bit, you can add in half & half as I did.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    2 c flour
    3/8 c brown sugar
    1 T baking powder
    .5 t salt
    1.12 c heavy cream
    .12 c half and half
    .25 c craisins

Directions

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

Cover a cookie sheet with baking parchment.

Mix dry ingredients together. Add craisins, stir. Add cream and half & half. Note: you could add a bit of orange zest or orange oil here. Stir.

Knead for a moment to make sure all is incorporated, shape into a circle roughly 1/2" high and place on parchment. Cut into 8 even pieces. Bake at 425 for 15 minutes.

Serving Size: Makes 8 pieces
