Introduction

Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    2 - 8oz ham steaks (cut in half)
    1/4 tsp - ground Cumin
    1/4 tsp - ground tumeric
    1/4 tsp - ground Ginger
    2 tbsp - Maple Syrup
    1 can - Pinapple slices (8 oz I think) cut into bit size pieces
    1 tbsp - Butter
    2 tbsp -Brown Sugar

Tips

for the ham, pinapple & sugar, use brands that fit your dietary needs. low sodium ham will reduce the calculation, splenda brown sugar will reduce the calculation. be flexible!


Directions

1. heat pan, then add ham steaks & cook through on both sides (about 3-4 minutes per side) when done, remove from pan & keep warm.
2. mix spices in small bowl well.
3. combine spice mix, pinapple & syrup & be sure coat pinapple well.
4. add pinapple mixture to pan & cook till pinapple is tender (about 3-4 minutes)
5. add brown sugar & lower heat. stir frequently till sugar is melted & remove from heat.
6. place ham steak on plate, top with 1/4 pinapple mixture & serve
