Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

about 1 pound raw liver, sliced into portion sizes.
    2 large onions, slice.
1 cup milk, for soaking liver in, before frying.
    1 tablespoon garlic powder.
    1 teaspoon salt.
    1/2 teaspoon pepper.
about 1 cup water, to make gravy.

Tips

This goes very nicely with mashed potatoes.
:)

Directions

1) 1 hour before cooking, place the milk and liver into a large bowl, and let it soak. Place in the fridge until used.
2) Slice the onion and set it aside.
3) Place the flour on a plate.
4) When ready to cook, remove the liver from the milk, and dip it in the flour on both sides. Sprinkle each piece with garlic powder, pepper, and salt. Set aside.
5) Heat a large pan with the oil. First fry the onions until they turn golden. Remove the onions, and set them aside. Add more oil if needed, and fry the liver quickly over high heat.
5) When it is no longer red inside, add the onions back, and continue to simmer for a couple minutes. Remove everything from the pan.
6) Add the water to the pan, and scrape up all the good bits. Add a touch of the remaining flour if needed, to make gravy. Simmer until gravy is done. Serve over the liver and onions.
