Warm Pecan-Crusted Goat Cheese

Ingredients

Pecans, .5 cup, finely chopped(125 ml)
Salt and pepper, to taste
egg white, fresh, 1 large
water, 1 tsp.
Goat Cheese - Kirkland Signature, 6 oz
Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Kirkland, 2 T.
Tips
Goat cheese slices easily with floss.
Directions
Combine pecan meal, salt/pepper in shallow bowl.
In another shallow bowl, beat egg white with 1 tsp. water.
Slice the goat cheese into 12 pieces.
Dip goat cheese, 1 piece at a time, into the egg then the pecan meal, covering all sides.
Refrigerate the pecan-crusted rounds for 30 minutes.
Heat EVOO in pan over medium heat. When oil is smoking, add goat cheese and cook until the pecans are browned, but not burned. Flip and cook the second side then remove.
Great served over salad greens.
