1- 1/2 loaf French bread. 2- 4 cup 2% milk
3- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
4- 6 whole eggs beaten
5- 1 teaspoon light butter
Bake in a double boiler. A shallow oven ware larger than the 8x12 works well. The mixture will be mostly absorbed in 45 minutes. This is a good time to remove from the oven. Let the pudding set for 5 minutes before cutting.
Beat the eggs, add sugar and milk.
Layer an 8x12 glass dish with the bread and pour the mixture over the top.
Use a double boiler.
