Iceberg Lettuce (salad), 1 cup, shredded or chopped (remove)
*Tomatoes, red, ripe, raw, year round average, .5 cup, chopped or sliced (remove)
Green Peppers (bell peppers), .25 cup, strips (remove)
Chili powder, 2 tbsp (remove)
Garlic powder, 1 tbsp (remove)
*Onion powder, 1 tbsp (remove)
*Cumin seed, 1 tbsp (remove)
Salt, 1 tbsp (remove)
Flour Tortillas, 1 tortilla (approx 10" dia) (remove)
*Cheese, Kraft Mexican Style Taco Cheese, 0.5 cup (remove)
Sour Cream, 5 tbsp (remove)
Tips
I use frozen peppers & thaw in water, they are cheaper & don't go bad that way. You could use low fat sour cream or greek yogurt and replace flour tortillas with corn tortillas for different lower cal & fat options, but this is how I like mine & I need the calories at this point anyway.
Directions
Brown your turkey in a frying pan, I use water to help brown it. Once browned into crumbles add your Onion Powder, Garlic powder, Chili Powder, Cumin & Salt, mix up & let simmer until water cooks off. Chop Lettuce, Tomato, Green peppers & onion. Preheat oven to 350 and wrap tortillas in foil put in oven for 5-10 minutes until warm. Now you can build your taco's the way you like! This nutritional breakdown includes the cheese & sour cream listed. 1/4 cup of cheese & 1 heaping tblspn of sour cream per taco.
