Peach Banana Ice Cream - Cuisinart

Introduction

Three small frozen banana, broken into chunks before freezing.
Three cups of sliced frozen unsweetened peaches broken apart if they have frozen together.
Place these two ingredients in Cuisinart or very strong blender. Pulse until mostly smooth mush forms.
Add 1-1/2 cups of plain fat free yogurt, 1 tsp of pure vanilla extract, and 1/2 tsp of powdered ginger spice.
Pulse until uniform color. This made 7 cups or 14 1/2 cup servings. I froze 10 - 1/2 cup freezer pops, and 2 -- 8 oz Ball Freezer containers. Each half cup was 51.4 calories, and the one cup containers were 102.8 calories. A real bargain, and very healthy.

Ingredients

    1.5 cups (1-1/2) cups fat free plain yogurt
    1 tsp of pure vanilla extract
    1/2 tsp of powdered ginger

Tips

You can substitute any fruit for the peaches. The calorie count will be a little different each time. Not a great difference. Blueberries, Black berries, Strawberries, Sweet cherries (remove the pits) are great.


Directions

Put frozen bananas and frozen peaches in heavy minimum 11c, 14c is better, food processor, pulse until it forms mush.
Add yogurt, vanilla, and ginger powder. Pulse until uniform color. Then you are done, and ready to serve OR you can freeze as ice cream treats in containers. Mine hold 4 oz each (1/2c). It will be like soft serve unless you harden it in the freezer.
