Cereal muffins

Submitted by: KTTULIP

Introduction

I kind of got bored at my house and just made what I could. So not one of my best creations but I think it would be really yummy with dried fruit. Try it with your favorite type of cereal. I think a healthy version of frosted flakes would work great too. But yeah if you try it with a new addition please share i need to make this have a kick to it. Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    2 cup AP Flour
    1/2 cup sugar
    1tbsp baking powder
    1tsp cinnamon,ground
    1/4 tsp nutmeg,ground
1 cup milk( I didn't use skim when I made them so I added the 2% milk to the final nutrition but I recommend using skim to make it healthier)
    1 egg or egg white
    1/3 cup butter,melted
2 cup cereal( nutrition has it with apple cinnamon cheerios)

Tips

This is a great recipe to experiment and make your own.

Directions

Preheat oven to 375
Stir together dry ingredients, not including cheerios, together with fork
In a separate bowl, mix together wet ingredients.
Slowly add dry mixture to wet mixture.
Add in cereal( this is when you'd add any dried fruit or nuts as well)
pour batter into muffin tin

Serving Size: 12 regular sized muffins
