I've altered this recipe from the original.
1 pound beef stew meat, cut into 1 inch cubes or smaller
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 clove garlic, minced
1 bay leaf
1 teaspoon paprika
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 onion, chopped
1 1/2 - 3 cups beef broth
3 potatoes, diced, or 2 cups diced baby potatoes
3-4 carrots, sliced
1 stalk celery, chopped (optional)
Cover, and cook on Low setting for 10 to 12 hours, or on High setting for 4 to 6 hours.
Serving Size: 6 ~1 cup servings
