Sausage, Beef, and Bean skillet
Submitted by: ADOUPENumber of Servings: 6
Ingredients
-
1 lbs Sweet or Hot Italian pork sausage, cut into 1-inch pieces
1/2 lbs Extra lean ground beef
1 Small onion, chopped (about 1/2 cup)
1-6oz bag of spinach, washed
1 Can of cream of mushroom soup
1/4 cup 1% milk
1-15oz Can of White kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 cup Stuffing
1/2 cup Shredded cheddar cheese
Tips
*I don't have a oven-safe skillet so I pour it into a 9X13 pan before I sprinkle on the stuffing and cheese.
*Crumbled blue cheese can be substituted for the cheddar cheese.
Directions
Cook the sausage, beef and onion in a 12-inch oven-safe skillet until the meats are well browned, stirring constantly to break up the meat. Pour off the fat.
Add the spinach and cook until the spinach wilts.
Stir the soup, milk, and beans into the skillet. Sprinkle the stuffing and cheese around the edge of the skillet.
Bake at 350F for 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
