Butter Biscuits

Introduction

These melt in your mouth and are not low fat. But make a wonderful strawberry shortcake. These melt in your mouth and are not low fat. But make a wonderful strawberry shortcake.
Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    2 cups flour
    4 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/2 tsp cream of tartar
    1/4 cup sugar
    1/2 cup butter -cold
    3/4 cup cream (unwhipped)

Directions

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Mix dry ingredients. Cut in cold butter. I like to do it in a food processor. Then add the cold cream. Mixture should be just wet enough to hold together. Roll oout on lightly floured board and cut into shapes. Bake at 425 degree oven for about 12 to 15 minutes...til golden.

Serving Size: Makes 12 Biscuits
