Crockpot Apple Chicken

Introduction

This is a modified version of a crockpot recipe I found on FoodNetwork from Robin Miller. This is a modified version of a crockpot recipe I found on FoodNetwork from Robin Miller.
Number of Servings: 5

Ingredients

    5-6 Chicken Breasts (no bones or skin)
    2 large Granny Smith Apples (peeled & cut into quarters)
    1 med. yellow onion (sliced into 1/4" thick slices)
    4 stalks celery (cut into large chunks)
    2 medium sweet potatoes (cut into large chunks)
    3-4 cloves garlic (chopped)
    1 c. white wine
    1 t. Salt
    1/2 t. pepper

    Poultry fresh herbs
    2 springs Rosemary
    3 sprigs Sage
    4 sprig Thyme

Directions

Place apples, onion, celery, & sweet potatoes in bottom of crockpot. Add garlic cloves, salt, pepper & fresh herbs over mixture. Salt and pepper chicken (dash salt & pepper), add remaining salt & pepper to mixture. Place chicken on top. Add wine. Cover & let cook for 4-5 hours on high or 6-8 hours on low.
