I like my baked beans with a dash of Worcester sauce and chili. I mix red kidney beans which are without added salt with lower salt and sugar baked beans. Ingredients
Baked Beans Morrisons eat smart 396 gram
Red Kidney Beans drained, 150 gram(s)
Italian Tomato Puree double concentrate organic 23 gram
Lea & Perrins Worcester Sauce, 2 tsp
Very Lazy Chillies EPC, 5 gram(s)
Tips
I cook these in microwave on medium power so that the beans don't break up and go mashy. I use Vegetarian Worcester sauce sometimes to make this vegetarian. I serve them on toast with a teaspoon of Extra Virgin Olive oil drizzled over instead of marge or butter on the bread.
Directions
Cook kidney beans in microwave on medium for 2 minutes. Drain and add to baked beans in a small casserole or microwave dish. Add chili and Worcester sauce and mix gently. Cook in microwave till heated through. 1 serving takes 3 minutes on medium.
